The designs at the Aminaka Wilmont show for
London Fashion Week looked like they belonged in the Luc Besson film
The Fifth Element (which, by the way, featured costumes by designer
Jean-Paul Gaultier). The Robocop gloves, pillbox-hat-shaped hair styles, and androgynous models all heightened the collection's futuristic aura, but the most shockingly out-there items appeared on many of the models' feet: the heel-wedges pictured above. Heels without soles? Can't be comfortable.

I take back what I said about
The Fifth Element--this is way more
Star Trek Enterprise than anything else:

I do like the high-necked blouses and frocks that elongate the appearance of the neck. Hopefully the trend will catch before the soleless, soulless shoes.
