NEW YORK CITY, NY – Police are searching for a man who has burglarized twenty-eight stores in the last three months in the uptown neighborhood of Washington Heights.
“The man has cleverly disguised himself in a Santa Claus suit,” said Capt. William McGreevy of the 34th Police Precinct.
According to McGreevy, the man has ingratiated himself to the neighborhood by riding around in a sled, and giving away half of the stolen property.
“Do not be fooled. This man is armed and dangerous and we will find him,” said the Captain. The 34th Precinct is distributing fliers of this criminal throughout all of Washington Heights.
If anyone has seen this man, they are urged to contact NYC CRIMESTOPPERS immediately.
A special hot line number has been set up at 212-CHU-BBIE and all calls will be kept condfidential.
