Photo Agency Actor Christian Slater never thought he’d survive to turn 40 back in his Hollywood hellraising days. He said: I just hit 40, so what more can I say? I mean, the fact that I'm 40 is a miracle. I'm on the other side now. I feel like I've hit a certain milestone and I'm going onward and upward. If I were looking back, I would say to myself during the tough times, 'If you can make it to 40, nothing in the past can prevent you from being present today.' There's a great author who said, 'We don't live life, life kind ... Read Full Story

Why all the ‘recycling’ stories are always from Fox is a very strange query – but here’s yet another: The suits in charge of  running Fox TV are now preparing a TV-reworking of the High School-angst movie, Heathers. First released in March of 1989 by Columbia Pictures the ‘crime-drama-romance,’ to quote its PR, gave Christian Slater and Winona Ryder their major film breaks. Now, twenty years of cobwebs have been blown off the story, and Fox’s finest brains [yes, both of them] are hard at work on a reboot. “We had the title, and talked about doing a film remake,” Gary Lucchesi, president of ... I recently wrote a piece on Squidoo about the life and work of Christian Slater which you can access here http://www.squidoo.com/Christian-Slater since seeing his brand new TV series “My Own Worst Enemy”, and being very impressed by his performance. While researching this piece I realised that although I had always liked what I saw of his work, I had only just scratched the surface. As I was looking to update this lens, I decided to watch some more of his films. I discussed this with my partner, whose opinion of him was that he ALWAYS played the “bad guy” in movies! Therefore, I searched ... Read Full Story

NBC has canceled “My Own Worst Enemy” - and I have to say I’m not surprised. The show was super hyped and promoted (shades of Bionic Woman, anyone?), plus there was no way Christian Slater’s wee beady eyes were going to make it past one season. At this point, NBC has yet to decide if unaired episodes of the now cancelled My Own Worst Enemy will run in the 10 p.m. Monday time slot. Read Full Story

Actor Christian Slater says some changes are in store in upcoming episodes of his ABC drama "The Forgotten." Slater stars in the show about amateur detectives who investigate the deaths of John and Jane Doe victims. He said ABC has signed off on a few more episodes despite the show's lackluster ratings. Lionsgate Home Entertainment has set a release date for Alone in the Dark II . Because you demanded it. Michael Roesch directed this entry which nixes Christian Slater and Tara Reid and gives us Rick Yune, Lance Henriksen, Ralf Moeller, PJ Soles, Bill Moseley, Rachel Specter, Michael Paré and Danny Trejo. Can you handle that? Yeah, didn't think you could. Edward Carnby, played by Slater in the last entry, is now embodied by Yune. Weird...

Christian Slater says he was drawn to his new ABC crime drama, "the forgotten," because of executive producer Jerry Bruckheimer, producer of "Without a Trace," "Cold Case" and the "CSI" franchise. However, it was the show's team of Average Joes and Janes who solve crimes involving John and Jane Does that piqued the actor's interest.
