Jimmy Sullivan, Avenged Sevenfold's 'The Rev,' Found Dead at 28

James Owen Sullivan , the drummer for popular rock band Avenged Sevenfold, has died at the age of 28. Sullivan, who was best known by his stage name, The Rev, was found unresponsive Monday at his Huntington Beach, CA home. Authorities say the drummer appears to have died of natural causes, although his cause of death will ultimately be determined by a coroner.
Avenged Sevenfold released a statement expressing the band's sadness over Sullivan's passing on its website Monday, writing, "Jimmy was not only one of the world's best drummers, but more importantly he was our best friend and brother. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jimmy's family and we hope you respect their privacy during this difficult time.
Sullivan is survived by wife Leana MacFadden.
