The Tennessee Titans had a season to remember going 10-0 to start the year. But before the season began it wasn't all fun and games for Tennessee as they took a lot of criticism for not selecting a wide receiver in the first round of the 2008 draft. Truthfully I can understand the fans thinking because they have seen the Titans select Lindell White in the second round of the 2006 draft and then running back Chris Henry in the first round of 2007. Also, reported on Giantsfootballblog.com (via the Daily News) The Giants actually do plan on inviting WR Kenny Britt for a private workout-although that has yet to happen. Britt is a local product and thus does not count against the 30 maximum for private visits per team. Also going to visit are Uconn Defensive End Julius Williams. They also report that a scout went to watch Joshua Mauga a Nevada Linebacker. Scouting report on Kenny Britt: From Scout.com A very talented wide receiver who needs to add some upper body strength. Rutgers (Scarlet Knights, 36,988 students, Piscataway, NJ) 29, N.C. STATE 23 In spite of a fumble on the opening play from scrimmage and a Rutgers' fake field goal that resulted in a touchdown, the N.C. State Wolfpack and phenom freshman QB Russell Wilson had a 17-6 halftime lead in the Papajohns .com Bowl. Wilson was 11-for-23 for 186 yards and a touchdown, but he left the game with a strained knee late in the first half and did not return. Game over. Hyperbole, you say? Wilson's replacements were mostly ineffective and threw three interceptions to aid the Rutgers comeback. To Wolfpack Nation's frustrations, all ... Read Full Story

Mike Garafolo of the Newark-Star Ledger was at Kenny Britt’s Pro Day, and had a few nuggets: There were only two Giants’ scouts at the workout and neither seemed to be paying any particular attention to a given player. After the running and jumping drills, a few players did positional drills or met with scouts individually. Unless something happened behind closed doors, the Giants didn’t give those players any individualized attention. But they will get a chance to do so soon, as all teams are allowed to bring in as many players from local colleges as they’d like for pre-draft visits. Only players schools ... Read Full Story
