Jags Set Record Low For Attendance

JACKSONVILLE, FL - SEPTEMBER 16: Running back...

Well the good new is that Maurice Jones-Drew will probably be ok.  The bad news is that this is the second year of the three year drop in attendance Wayne Weaver needs to get out of his contract with the city to keep the team in Jacksonville.

I know its the preseason but the Jags only sold 39k tickets last night according to Vito Stellino of the Florida Times Union.   Yes I know if the team gets hot they will start selling ticket again.  Just look at the article in Forbes Magazine, NFL Team Valuations  #29 Jacksonville Jaguars.  Yes the Jaguars are #29 in value but look at the bottom of the page.  The trend is that people will go to the games when they start winning.  The problem is, if Mr. Weaver really wants to move the team and he is just letting Jack rebuild so they will have a good team in Los Angeles then we are going to be out a pro team.

I’m not going to tell you to buy tickets or the team is getting moved because I have to take Mr. Weaver at his word that he is not going to move the team.  Go if you can, but if you can’t do n’t feel bad.
