I don't know exactly what I was expecting from the announcement of who would play the lead in Alice in Wonderland for Tim Burton . I do know exactly that I wouldn't have guessed Mia Wasikowska . Nope. Probably would've lost that wager. Apparently it´s now official, Australian actress Mia Wasikowska is in final negotiations to step through the looking glass in Tim Burton's take on Lewis Carroll's classic fantasy novel ALICE IN WONDERLAND . The film, which is based on a script by Linda Woolverton (The Lion King), will be produced by longtime Burton collaborator Richard Zanuck, former Walt Disney Chairman Joe Roth and Jennifer and Suzanne Todd.
