Atop vertiginous heels, Dsquared hiked off for a spring camping holiday Monday, coining the term "glam-ping" at Milan Fashion Week for the city girl communing with nature. It was the great outdoors for Frankie Morello as well, but for a spot of horseback riding at an exclusive country club, also with gravity-defying spike-heeled shoes -- perhaps filling in for spurs? Predicting rain, Dsquared's Canadian twins Dean and Dan Caten proposed clear plastic bonnets or macs trimmed with hot pink or orange, as well as plastic rucksacks for any occasion -- even a strass-trimmed one hanging off the back of an evening gown. Boy scout-type ... Read Full Story

We are excited to announce one of the newest members of our growing family of designers, Jean Bourget. Jean Bourget spring 2009 is the best collection we have ever seen. We were enchanted by the numerous looks throughout collection, from soft and feminine to trendy chic Jean Bourget delivers the look for 2009. I have long been a fan of Jean Bourget and am delighted to have added this fine line to our store this year. If you are not familiar with the brand I encourage you to try it. Warning: highly addictive! Want to know a bit more about this fabulous designer and ... Read Full Story

With her trademark crop slicked back, Rihanna wore a haltered Gucci Fall 2008 dress, which is very much on the folk trend of the Fall season. Unfortunately I do not think it does her any favours, as it does not flatter her at all. Mischa Barton is 22 years old, so why is she styling her hair like a 60 year old woman. Despite the ombre detail on the hem of this dress, Mischa still manages to make it look very boring. Italian actress Anita Caprioli brighten up the red carpet in her stunning vibrant violet Givenchy Fall 2008 Couture dress, with matching tights ... Read Full Story

Leading Italian fashion houses put a brave, even chipper face on their Milan shows this season, despite being hard hit by the global economic downturn and the spectre of bankruptcy hanging over Gianfranco Ferre and Just Cavalli. Normally reserved for VIP fashionistas, Ferre's front row on Friday included three government-appointed special administrators for its owner IT Holding as it faces bankruptcy proceedings. Aimed at protecting a company and its creditors until a viable recovery plan is adopted, the procedure was initially applied only to IT Holding's main subsidiary Ittierre. If IT Holding does go under, it will drag down not only Gianfranco Ferre but ... Read Full Story

We're starting to get in the groove of fashion week, Italian style. Just like yesterday, we're only watching six runway shows today. Our fashion correspondents are particularly pumped for Jil Sander and Versace, but who knows? Maybe Alberta Ferretti will throw a curveball. Keep score on Twitter.

If it's Thursday, we must be Milan. We're on the third stage of a transatlantic fashion-appreciation tour that's already taken us to New York and London. With just six shows, today's a breeze -- and delightful one at that with Prada and Giorgio Armani. Also on tap: D&G, Valextra and Miu Miu. Tag along, with Twitter.

A detail from the Missoni collection. For sheer sexiness Dolce & Gabanna scored, but Sunday's finale of Milan fashion week brought something a bit more nuanced from Missoni. With her daughter Margherita showing her debut design for the house (sunglasses), Angela Missoni brought out layered knits that were sexy in a 1920s-modern-dance conceal-to-reveal proto-feminist kind of way.

Even under a scrunched time line, Milan Fashion Week stunned with numerous beautiful collections. In this roundup, I highlight some of my favorite designers, including Versace, Ferragamo, Fendi, and Armani, to name a few. I admit, Dolce & Gabbana's collection was my favorite, but that's not stopping me from showing you Bottega's soft and swirly frock, Gucci's cut-out wonder, and Emilio...

For Spring '10, Miuccia Prada concocted a collection inspired by sea and surf. However, it wasn't your typical beach-inspired line. “Beach and antiquity - high and low - it is all the same,” said Miuccia Prada. “It is supposed to be an ironic take - sometimes nostalgic, for a contemporary take on antiquity for those who don’t understand the beauty of the past.” Well said, Miuccia. Red-lipped models, complete with tousled ponytails, exuded a...

It was all about passion and romance at Dolce & Gabbana's Spring showing at Milan Fashion Week. Showing utmost creative capability, the designers made a heavenly mix of sexy menswear-inspired suits, lace dresses, floral-printed separates, blouson shorts, and tiered frocks. "[The collection] is sexy, but not too sexy. . . . We're talking about sensuality," said Domenico Dolce. And that they did via bold, leopard prints, scintillating corsets...

1. RISQUE SWIMWEAR Slashed fabric (see Emporio Armani, left) and strategic twists and ties (Emilio Pucci, right) made for some very sexy swimwear on the Milan runways. I wouldn't recommend wearing these against bare flesh. Layer over a bright one-piece...
