Nicole Richie Says She Never Had an Eating Disorder

Nicole Richie graces the cover of the UK edition of Marie Claire this month, where she addresses some age-old rumors about her thin frame. "It's extremely insulting and irresponsible," she said of claims that she suffered from an eating disorder -- and the resulting media frenzy, complete with photos of her looking bony in a bikini.

The 28-year-old continued (via People.com): "I felt it was a little unfair to say someone has an eating disorder when they don't... An eating disorder is serious and it's a disease. I don't think you can lightly say someone has a disease unless they are openly telling you that they do."

These days Richie's looking healthier than ever as a happy mother of two, to two-year-old daughter Harlow and son Sparrow, born in November. And it sounds like ditching the extra mommy weight was a breeze: Nicole said, "I'm nursing and he's a big boy."

In any case, she's definitely not obsessing over those eating disorder rumors anymore. The former reality star is working on producing and starring in a new sitcom about a professional mom balancing career and family. She's also looking forward to the spring, when she'll launch her new clothing line Winter Kate.
