‘Hitman 2′ Sequel Moving Forward

Fledgling screenwriter Kyle Ward has inked a deal with Twentieth Century Fox to pen Hitman 2, a sequel to the 2007 action flick starring Timothy Olyphant . The next installment will be loosely based on the plot of Hitman 5, Eidos’ latest videogame production that is set to hit stores in late 2010. The film will follow Agent 47’s rise to supremacy after his career nearly bottoms out. The original Hitman managed to garner $39.7 million in U.S. box offices and just under $100 million worldwide. According to IESB.net, 20th Century Fox has hired screenwriter Kyle Ward to write a sequel to the 2007 action film, Hitman. It was said that the first film’s producers, Adrian Askarieh, Daniel Alter and Chuck Gordon, will return, but there has been no word as of yet if stars Timothy Olyphant and Olga Kurylenko will return to the franchise.
