A court has ordered the French authorities to pay Mohamed Al Fayed 5,000 euros (7,500 dollars) over an inquiry into Princess Diana's fatal car crash, according to a judgment seen by AFP on Friday. Al Fayed, the billionaire owner of London's upmarket Harrods department store, has long claimed Diana and Dodi Fayed, her boyfriend and Al Fayed's son, were murdered as part of an establishment plot. Mohamed Al Fayed, owner of plush London emporium Harrods, told The Sunday Times he was ready to become the first president of an independent Scotland. The Egyptian tycoon, 80, who owns an estate in the Scottish Highlands, said he was urging his "fellow Scots" to detach themselves from "the English and their terrible politicians".
