Robert Joseph 'Joey' Patterson Picture: Man Who Allegedly Beat Adrian Peterson's Son

FacebookRobert Jospeh Patterson, who goes by "Joey," is allegedly the man who beat Adrian Peterson's young son, causing his death. Patterson is being held by authorities and is expected to face murder charges stemming from Friday's events.

So far, little is known about Patterson. However, through various media outlets and his Facebook page, it appears that Patterson moved in with the little boy's mother, allegedly a woman named Ann 'Ashley' Doohen, in Sioux Falls recently. Their relationship was "fairly new," according to a report from authorities. 

And it seems that Patterson has a young son of his own. There are pictures of Patterson with a boy who he refers to as his son on his Facebook page.

Patterson also seems to have a history of trouble with the law. He has been arrested multiple times on various charges and was allegedly arrested in 2012 for hitting a three-year-old and the child's mother.

More information is expected to be released in the coming days.
