Coronation Street actors Alison King and Chris Gascoyne, who play Carla Connor and Peter Barlow, will be taking a four month break from Corrie this summer.   The official ITV Corrie website say that both Alison and Chris will be taking time away from filming to spend time with their families this summer.  They will return towards the end of the year. It's a fashion statement that Carla Connor would definitely not make, not in public anyway. But actress Alison King, who plays Carla, was snapped by paparazzi going to work on the Coronation Street set wearing her onesie. Alison King plays Carla Connor on the soap opera Coronation Street. She made her first appearance in 2006 and has been a main character on the show ever since. In 2008 King became pregnant in real life, causing her character to temporarily be written out of the show.
