Jesse L. Martin , a nine-year veteran of "Law & Order" is quitting the long-running NBC drama. He will be replaced by Anthony Anderson . According to a source, Jesse L. Martin , 39 will portray one more episode of the series, in which his character, Detective Ed Green, will be written off.
