"What happens is I make a very big mistake early on. I'm so amped up about getting into the action and being able to use my gun — I'm being groomed as a homicide cop, but I have to do details like most cops do — and they put me in Yankee Stadium for game seven of the World Series. I'm looking for [suspicious characters], and this guy comes running out of the tunnel with a baseball bat. I'm like, 'Holy shit! This is a restricted area, and...

Much concern with the Yankees right now centers around the need to sign Johnny Damon to fill the number two hole behind Derek Jeter.
Curtis Granderson is not a good two hitter because he strikes out too much.
But if Damon is not resigned, there is not as much to worry about. The Yankees already have the perfect man for the job.
Robinson Cano would fit very nicely behind Jeter in the lineup. In fact, looking at the 2009 numbers he looks better...

New Yorkers don't really care about Derek Jeter's girlfriend Minka Kelly, as long as the Yankee captain is doing well (which was this case this past season), but a Starbucks barista in Tampa Bay claims that she's a pain in the ass. Writing to Gawker, the barista explains, "Minka came up to order. She looks harmless enough but when she opens her mouth? Yeah, not so much. She's rude, demanding, and has one of the most annoying voices I've...

I saw this story a few days ago (in The Daily News via the brothers of The GSF). It’s still really bothering me.
Basically last Sunday night — 19 days before Christmas — Yankee Captain/God Derek Jeter ordered takeout from an Italian place he likes on East 49th Street. The restaurant hostess, a huge Jeter fan, begs the delivery guy to take her with him. She makes a bit of a scene when the doorman insists she just leave Jeter’s food with him...
