Elton John says he's back on his feet after being sidelined for the flu and an E. coli bacterial infection. The entertainer spoke about his recovery before Monday's annual benefit for the Elton John AIDS Foundation, which honored former President Bill Clinton and Sharon Stone among others. Getty Images Ukraine's family, youth and sports minister, Yuri Pavlenko has had a change of heart in terms of Elton John's adoption bid. He had previously said Elton was too old and too homosexual to adopt 14-month-old Lev from the country (the Ukraine doesn't recognize same-sex unions), but for whatever reason, Pavlenko corrected himself yesterday. Legendary British musician Sir Elton John has urged youngsters to practice safe sex and be vigilant about the dangers of AIDS. The singer, whose annual fundraisers help people already battling the deadly virus, has warned teenagers that many among them are still not aware about the dangers of unprotected sex, reports contactmusic.com.
