If You're Looking For A Reason To Smile Today, Paul McCartney's 'Carpool Karaoke' Segment Might Do The Trick
'The Late Late Show' host James Corden even teared up at one point.
We hope you have your office tissues primed and ready because James Corden just delivered the most sentimental "Carpool Karaoke" segment to date.
With Sir Paul McCartney as Corden's co-pilot, the duo drove around Liverpool (the musician's hometown) while the former Beatle reminisced about everything from the barbershop he used to frequent, to the house he lived in as a teenager.
Corden and McCartney sang along to Beatles hits, including "Drive My Car," and "Penny Lane" – which was obviously played while the pair cruised down the actual Penny Lane. At one point, James Corden even got a little misty-eyed while singing "Let It Be" alongside McCartney.
"If my granddad was here right now, he’d get an absolute kick out of this," Corden tells McCartney at one point, to which McCartney tenderly responded, "He is."
(I'm not crying, you're crying.)
At the end of the segment, the musically-inclined twosome stopped into a local pub to play an impromptu gig for a few lucky pub-goers.
