Hollyoaks star Gemma Merna has warned that viewers shouldn't expect a happy conclusion to her character's romance troubles. The actress's alter ego Carmel McQueen tied the knot with her ongoing love interest Calvin Valentine (Ricky Whittle) in 2008, but cracks in their relationship soon began to show and led to a break-up this year. The blonde, 25 - dippy Carmel Valentine in the Channel 4 soap - is building a dream mansion with her property developer fiance Ian Minton.
