HAYDEN CHRISTENSEN is to play a magician and escapologist in the new action-adventure film Mandrake. The movie, which will co-star Djimon Hounsou, no longer has any link to the comic strip character Mandrake the Magician. Christensen (pictured) was in Jumper and the Star Wars prequels, while Hounsou's credits include Constantine, The Island, Blood Diamond and Push. Mandrake will be directed by Mimi Leder (Deep Impact, The Peacemaker) and has been written by Josh Oppenheimer, Thomas Dean Donnelly, JV Hart and Ian Jeffers, from an original story by Kevin Bernhardt.
