Jason Heyward

The Atlanta Braves plan to activate outfielder Jason Heyward from the disabled list on Monday before a series against the Diamondbacks begins. Heyward began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Gwinnett on Friday. Thus far Heyward has failed to register a hit. On Saturday he was 0-for-3 and was hit by a pitch. To make room for him, the Braves indeed went with a six-man bullpen by placing Jordan Walden on the 15-day DL with shoulder inflammation. Heyward was hitting .121 in 17 games when he was forced to have his appendix removed on April 22 in Colorado.
