The Atlanta Braves have activated Jason Heyward from the disabled list, kffl.com reports. To make room for him, the Braves indeed went with a six-man bullpen by placing Jordan Walden on the 15-day DL with shoulder inflammation.
Heyward was hitting .121 in 17 games when he was forced to have his appendix removed on April 22 in Colorado. He carried a three-game hitting streak, during which he had a homer and two RBIs, into Pittsburgh, but he went 1-for-11 over three games with stomach pain.
