WWD reports that American designer Nanette Lepore is launching a footwear collection for spring to hit stores February 2010. The 25-style collection features wedges, heels, and flats in metallic and patent leather and snakeskin. The Ohio-born designer again brought out her artillery of ribbons and frills for an ultra-femme collection of sweet party dresses and large floral prints accessorized with thick belts and short jackets. It's a great, dainty line for girly-girls - no wonder Lauren Conrad and Lo Bosworth are fans. The show confirmed what we already knew about hair trends this year and next: braids are in.
