Long before George W. Bush became President of the United States, he was a wild party animal with a penchant for drinking, he freely admits. Since becoming a born-again Christian teetotaller and ascending to become the world's most powerful man, Dubya has tried to forget his misguided youth. Twenty-two years after quitting alcohol, Bush's past is coming back to haunt him in Oliver Stone's biopic of the President, the aptly-titled W. Scroll down for trailer 'Alcoholic bum': Josh Brolin as a young George W Bush swills whisky straight from a Jack Daniels bottle No Country For Old Men star Josh Brolin plays Dubya in ... Interestingly enough, as I've mentioned in some of my previous posts, politicians may somehow be similarly situated with celebrities. Elections or not, some politicians cant help but be in the limelight. This is unavoidable. Josh Brolin is the hot celebrity online by playing the role as the 43rd US President George W. Bush in Oliver Stone’s ‘W.’ Sounds like politically related, huh? But definitely not. In addition to that, Josh Brolin will be visiting Saturday Night Live and will be hosting the show as President George W. Bush. According to some websites, it may be possible that President Bush himself will visit the show ... Read Full Story

Not that I think Josh Brolin will do a bad job, but I would've been very interested to see this other casting choice for Oliver Stone 's W . Of course, with Stone as the source, you should take it with a grain of salt. He's been known to stretch a truth here and there. Stone told GQ.com that they went through a lot of actors before settling on Brolin, including one rather surprising choice. "I needed a star [to get financing]...and Josh Brolin was not a star. Originally I went for Christian Bale . We did some rigorous prosthetic tests and spent a ... Read Full Story
A big part of Sarah Palin's political appeal is her ability to exploit social grievances and cultural symbolism. In her forthcoming book, "Going Rogue," that capacity is never more evident then when Palin travels to New York for a taping of "Saturday Night Live...

We headed out to an event last night for Terra.com, a Web portal for the Hispanic market. The company gathered some high profile guests to talk up their new offerings and partnerships, including Olympic swimmer Dara Torres, former NBA player Earl "The Pearl" Monroe, and film director Oliver Stone. But they may have gotten more than they bargained for with Stone. For 13 minutes the acclaimed film director went off on new media, and old...
