Patrick Swayze is an American dancer, actor, singer and songwriter. He became known during the 1980s after starring in the box office success Dirty Dancing, and has since remained an actor in Hollywood films.
In 2008 he announced that he is battling cancer. He died on September 14, 2009 in his Los Angeles home. He was 57.
