Exclusive club: Shaquille O'Neal called Kobe Bryant the "greatest Laker." Not a bad choice, but from a Mount Rushmore of Bryant, Magic Johnson, Jerry West and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, I'd take Abdul-Jabbar as my No. 1. Don't be a prisoner of today's ESPN ...
Shaquille O'Neal led the Los Angeles Lakers to three straight championships and was a 15-time All-Star in his illustrious career. So, it was only natural when it was announced on Thursday that the Lakers would be retiring the future Hall of Famer's number during the 2012-2013 season.NBA.com's Scott Howard-Cooper tweeted on Thursday:After O'Neal retired in June 2011, the team announced that his jersey would be retired. One “innocent” tweet from Shaquille O’Neal instigated a firestorm across the Los Angeles talk radio scene. Nothing gates LA sports honks more chappy than a "Top 10 Lakers Lists." For those unfamiliar with the sports landscape in LA, it’s pretty simple: The Lakers are No. 1, USC football is No. 2 and...

Charles Barkley and Shaquille O'Neal have been pitted against one another in what is no longer the rookie sophomore challenge. While it still uses rookies & sophomores, the game will now be a battle between TEAM CHUCK and TEAM SHAQ, as the TNT analysts ...
A lot of times, big guys come into the league and look nothing like the player they become many years later. At age 18, Dwight Howard was just getting his braces off and was a thin, gawky, raw athlete. 6 years and at least 45 pounds of muscle later ...
