Tavi Gevinson, 13-Year-Old Fashion Blogger Scores Front-Row Seats at New York Fashion Week

Gevinson is a fashion blogger (you can check out her site here), and despite her young age or perhaps because of it, she's become something of a darling among the fashion elite. According to the Huffington Post, she was a special guest at Marc Jacobs (a coveted spot), Yohji Yamamoto and Alexander Wang during New York's Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, even sitting front row at some of the shows.
Pop magazine editor Dasha Zhukova has asked Gevinson to write a column for the publication's website, and the sisters behind the Rodarte label, Kate and Laura Mulleavy, have taken her on as their muse. Kate said, "Tavi makes you think about things differently, makes you see things differently." She's also landed several magazine covers already.
On her blog Style Rookie, Gevinson describes herself as a "Tiny 13 year old dork that sits inside all day wearing awkward jackets and pretty hats. Scatters black petals on Rei Kawakubo's doorsteps and serenades her in rap. Rather cynical and cute as a drained rat. In a sewer. Farting. And spitting out guts."
