(Getty Images | Inset from the Tonight show) The Flaming Lips appeared on the Tonight show Tuesday to promote their new album, Embryonic , launching into a racuous performance of the album's closer, "Watching the Planets" that Conan O'Brien called "killer." The song featured the ever-ambitious Wayne Coyne in front of the engergized band which featured one guest musician beating the hell out of a huge gong.
