There's the time the Rolling Stones sued the Verve over "Bittersweet Symphony," the time Vanilla Ice found himself arguing that "Ice Ice Baby" was not just a rip off of Queen's "Under Pressure," and now Usher is being accused of stealing from cartoon star Homer Simpson.
The morning deejays at Y101.7-FM in Jackson, Mississippi claim that they've discovered the true progenitor of Usher's hit song "OMG" in an unexpected place. According to the deejays, the song just too closely resembles a Christmas carol that Homer came up with in an episode of The Simpsons.
In a 2003 episode of the show Homer sings "Christmas in December, wow, wow, wow. Give me tons of presents, now, now, now!" Meanwhile Usher's "OMG" goes like this: "Honey got a booty like pow, pow, pow. Honey got some boobies like wow, oh, wow."
Listen to the songs side-by-side in the video below and hear the similarities for yourself.
