A community portal about Wicca with blogs, videos, and photos. According to Wikipedia.org: Wicca is a Neopagan religion and a religious movement found in various countries throughout the world. It was first popularised in 1954 by a British civil servant named Gerald Gardner after the British Witchcraft Act was repealed. He claimed that the religion, of which he was an initiate, was a modern survival of an old witchcraft religion, which had existed in secret for hundreds of years, originating in the pre- Christian Paganism of Europe. Wicca is thus sometimes referred to as the Old Religion. The veracity of Gardner's claims cannot be independently proven, and it is thought that written Wiccan theology began to be compiled no earlier than the 1920s. Various related Wiccan traditions have since evolved, or been adapted from, the form established by Gardner, which came to be called Gardnerian Wicca. These other traditions of Wicca each have distinctive beliefs, rituals, and practices. Many traditions of Wicca remain secretive and require that members be initiated. There is also a movement of Eclectic or Solitary Wiccans who do not believe that any doctrine or traditional initiation is necessary in order to practice Wicca.

Exclusive Book Sale 123 Articles. There was once a time, when magickal beings started appearing on earth; wise ones who knew that since they came from nature and would return to nature it was urgent that they didn’t affect the delicate balance of all that constituted our environment on this paradise. They revered the land, the seasons, celebrated the Sun and the Moon and held all animals sacred to their hearts. As civilizations grew and selfishness and greed enveloped the world, wars and destruction became common and human beings found weapons to kill each other and thought of themselves as civilized and advanced societies. ... Recently I have had the opportunity to review the book Generation Hex: Understanding the Subtle Dangers of Wicca . This book written by Marla Alupoaicei and Dillon Burroughs is an interesting study into the world of witchcraft and spirituality. In addition to reviewing the book BibleDude.net had the pleasure of picking Marla’s and Dillon’s brains about the topic. Here are the results of that interview… BibleDude.net: Where did you get the idea for the book? Dillon: I had already worked on three world religion books where I had included some material on Wicca. However, most of my research showed most people were either unaware ... Read Full Story

It's that time of the year. In a few days, children will be looking up at the night sky, expecting the dark silhouette of a witch on a broomstick to cross the face of the moon. What better time to talk about (and do some myth-busting about) Wicca? Most folks do not know much about Wicca, but the population of Wiccans in America is growing.
