The National Kidney Foundation- Kansas City holds its annual kidney walk in October every year.  My husband, Felix, died of kidney failure last year and my family and I joined the kidney walk last year and again this year.  This event is a fundraiser meant to bring awareness to the early detection and prevention of kidney disease and to promote organ donation.
