Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono waits for the body of former Indonesian President Suharto to arrive at the funeral January 28, 2008 in his home town of Solo, Central Java, Indonesia. Born on June 8, 1921, Suharto died at the age of 86, one of Southeast Asia's longest serving leaders. He was regarded by many as the leader who brought his country out of poverty but to others Suharto was also seen as a dictator who ruled with an iron fist for almost 30 years. He was ousted in 1998 after political turmoil took hold during the Asian financial crisis bringing riots to Jakarta.
