Michelle Pfeiffer is an American actress. She was born in Santa Ana, California, to a heating and air-conditioning contractor and a homemaker. She entered and won the Miss Orange County beauty pageant in 1978, and the Miss Los Angeles competition later that year. Her first major film role was the lead in Grease 2, a huge flop. She shot to stardom a year later with a plum role in Brian DePalma's Scarface.
