This includes a complete management of budget priorities, schemes, proposals and faults including on-call. The track comprises of over 7 miles of mixed railway infrastructure (Bullhead and flatbottom rail, concrete and wooden sleepers). There are 16 sets of switch and crossing units including 3 level crossings and integrated level crossing warning systems and signals. . The railway bridge over the River Tay at Dundee was one of the engineering wonders of the world when it opened on September 26, 1877. Designed by civil engineer Thomas Bouch it took six years to build and cost the lives of 20 construction workers.
