On the bright side, if Russell Crowe and Elizabeth Banks exploded in a fireball, at least the fire department was on scene... The stars almost ended up playing roadkill after their van was clipped by a fire truck while they were shooting their movie The Next Three Days in Deutschtown, Pa. Per the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the actors' vehicle was parked on a street near Duquesne University when the emergency unit raced around a corner too quickly and whacked the van's front bumper. No doubt the next three minutes were a little scary, but luckily no one was hurt in the collision and ... Read Full Story

An Australian newspaper mocked Russell Crowe for smoking and shoveling down a fatty meal during a recent bike ride, so the notoriously salty actor set out to prove he is still in gladiator shape — by challenging the paper's gossip columnist to a duel by bicycle. Crowe, who has been photographed looking slimmer in recent months, was apparently none too pleased by a column published in Sydney's The Daily Telegraph on Tuesday entitled "Smokes and fatty foods the fitness regime for Rusty." The paper mocked Crowe after he was photographed pausing during a recent bike ride with his personal trainer to puff on a ... Read Full Story
SYDNEY (Reuters Life!) - Australian actor Russell Crowe on Monday denied reports that he was banned from a British pub after an argument about closing time. Britain's Sunday Express newspaper reported that Crowe, 45, had been banned from the Brickmakers in Windelsham, Surrey, near the set of his new movie "Robin Hood." An unidentified resident was quoted in the newspaper as saying that Crowe had offered money to keep drinking at the pub after closing time, but was refused and eventually left, smashing a plate on his way. A spokesman from the pub declined to comment on the reports on Monday. But Crowe's manager, ... Read Full Story

Russell Crowe's manager denied Monday a newspaper report that the Oscar-winning Australian actor had been banned from a British pub near the set of his new film, "Robin Hood." Britain's Sunday Express newspaper reported that a spirited argument over licensing laws apparently ended with the 45-year-old actor being banned from The Brickmakers in Windlesham, Surrey. Crowe's manager Grant Vandenberg said the newspaper story was untrue. "The only truth to the whole thing is that he has been" to the pub, Vandenberg told Nine Network television in Australia. "He has been there four or five times with his kids. There is a playground in the ... Read Full Story

Photos have been leaking out left and right from the set of Ridley Scott's Robin Hood for quite a while. Some of these photos are old, some of them are new, but all of them look pretty damn cool. Despite most of the film was captured in paparazzi photos, there's still more to see, or so I hope. My favorite shot of Russell Crowe as Robin Hood is to the right just below. It comes from the pages of a recent issue of Entertainment Weekly titled...

Since the film was first announced in 2007, Ridley Scott's Robin Hood has been through more incarnations than the outlaw himself. Somewhere along the line, Crowe took over the role of Hood as well, and somewhere a little further along, he...
