Bristol Palin (born c. 1991) is one of three daughters of Alaskan governor Sarah Palin. Bristol Palin is pregnant and will keep the baby and marry the father.

The Palin family announced a statement about their 17-year-old daughter's pregnancy. In it they stated:

"We have been blessed with five wonderful children who we love with all our heart and mean everything to us," the Palin statement said. "Our beautiful daughter Bristol came to us with news that as parents we knew would make her grow up faster than we had ever planned."

Sarah Palin, Bristol's mom, has been named as John McCain's VP running mate.

I have updated the previous post to reflect the info that the photo dates from 2006 (or earlier) so has no relevance to the time frame we are interested in. Here is a full version of the same photo. Yes we do have numerous references to Sarah Palin breastfeeding and the fact that she was photographed with Trig in a nursing sling is certainly an argument in her favor in this matter.
