Former country singer Eddy Arnold died Thursday morning at a care facility in Nashville, Tennessee. He was 89-years-old, and one week away from his 90th birthday. Arnold was known as a pioneer of "Nashville Sound," a mix of country, folk and pop. His first No.1 hit was 1947's "What Is Life Without Love." His most recent album was released in 2005, and titled "After All These Years. Arnold is survived by his son, Richard Edward Arnold Jr. and daughter Jo Ann Pollart, both from Brentwood, a suburb of Nashville. His wife of 66 years, Sally, died in March. Read Full Story
