MarketSaw is reporting that George Lucas and LucasFilm are currently considering a new Star Wars trilogy–and that it would be shot in 3-D. According to the report, Lucas would serve as a producer for the new trilogy and would not take the director’s chair.

I don’t know what’s worse: the fact that this video seems to be a few years old and I’ve only just seen it, or the fact that I actually wouldn’t mind watching a George Lucas remastered version of Singin’ in the Rain. Actually, I think the second one is worse. Much, much worse.

He would have made his cultural mark if only because of American Graffiti (1973) , but of course then there's Star Wars (1977) and that series' ensuing 5 other movies, Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) and three other Indiana Jones movies, Lucasfilm , Skywalker Ranch , and on and on and on.
