John Mayer

John Mayer has been a big deal in the music scene for years now, but even though he's had to put his latest album on hold because of health problems, his old stuff still holds up. Mayer came on the scene in 2001 (can you believe it!) and produced hits like "Your Body is a Wonderland" and "Love Song for No One." Last month John Mayer announced that he had to cancel performances and push back his next album due to a throat condition, and this weekend he updated his fans with news that he underwent surgery for the condition. Apparently the granuloma above his vocal chord didn't get better on its own, as expected, so he had to have an operation. Now he's resting up and recovering. And dreaming of making music again.
