Matt Lauer can nearly hit a deer, dislocate his shoulder, and still be funny and charming about it. True grit. If you missed Matt Lauer this morning, blame deer. The veteran host of NBC's The Today Show had to step out from hosting duties after a nasty bike wreck saw him dislocate a shoulder and take two days off. Lauer was riding his bike when a deer stepped out onto the rode. When Lauer hit the brakes, he flipped over the handlebars and dislocated his shoulder. The injury will require surgery.
