Chinese diving legend Guo Jingjing cruised into the final of the women's 3m springboard event by posting easily the best score in Monday's afternoon semi-final, just as she had done in the morning preliminaries. However, her score of 368.10 was not as good as her morning mark of 377.55, but it was still good enough to finish well clear of the field. Canada's Jennifer Abel finished a surprise second with 251.65, just ahead of China's He Zi, with 351.45, who had been well ahead of the rest in second in the preliminaries. There was no joy for new 10m platform world champion Paula Espinosa ... Read Full Story

Anna Lindberg

Age: 26
Hometown: Kariskoga, Sweden

Diving is in Anna Lindberg's blood. Her parents, Ulrika Knape and Mathz Lindberg are both former Swedish divers and her mother has one Olympic gold. If that's not pressure, what is?  But, the 26-year-old Swedish diver is not new to success. She won the 2006 European Championships in Aquatics in the 1 meter and 3 meter Springboard events.

Lindberg has also competed in three summer Olympic games, in 1996, 2000 and 2004. Her best result in all three games was only a fifth place finish in the 3 meter springboard in 2000, but maybe this year she'll have more luck. Follow Lindberg as she fights for gold at the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympic games .
