Senator Barack Obama has chosen Delaware Senator Joe Biden as his vice presidential running mate, a pick I believe that is designed to strengthen Obama’s foreign policy credentials before the November election. Earlier on Friday Biden himself said that he wasn’t sure if he would be teaching his Constitution Law class at Widener University School of Law on Saturday since it had been announced that Obama will be campaigning with his VP candidate on Saturday. By Friday evening it was reported that Senator Evan Bayh and Governor Tim Kaine had received personal calls from Obama advising them that they would not be VP. Senators ... Read Full Story

I can't believe we only have 18 days to go. I am excited! I am so ready for a change and I think it's going to come in the form of Barack Obama. This election I have come to discover that I am more of a Progressive than anything. I WANT progression. What Bush did when he got into office was enable a fringe section of the Republican party to flourish and root itself into the forefront of our country's politics. We have to change that. Yes! I miss "old guard" Republicans like the deserts miss the rain. I try not to hold ill ... Read Full Story

Joe Biden assured older Jewish voters Tuesday that Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama will be strong on protecting Israel, which he said is less secure now than when President Bush took office. Biden, Obama's vice presidential running mate, laid out his own history on Israeli issues for the audience of several hundred at a Broward County retirement community and emphatically said Obama stands right along side him on Israel. Biden said he has fought the sale of sophisticated weapons to Arab nations, has known every Israeli prime minister since Golda Meir and has co-sponsored ... Read Full Story

How I Learned to Love the New World Order was originally published in the Wall Street Journal April 23, 1992 on page A13. Joseph R. Biden Jr defends his view that the Pentagon’s new strategy which appoints the US as a sort of world monitor could render the US a hollow superpower. Biden explains why he reacted the way he did to the plan. Imagine my surprise when a Wall Street Journal editorial appointed me dean of the Pat Buchanan school of neo-isolationism. My credentials? Believing that the Pentagon’s new strategy — America as “Globocop” — could render the United States a hollow superpower. ... Read Full Story
