(Getty Images) While visiting the Ukraine Tuesday, Vice President Joe Biden again proved his capacity to embarrass America by ignoring the many virtues of Ukrainian life and honing right in on the ladies. "I cannot believe that a Frenchman visiting Kiev went back home and told his colleagues he discovered something and didn't say he discovered the most beautiful women in the world. That's my observation," he told Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko through a translator. "It's certain you... Read Full Story
The wife of Vice President-elect Joe Biden let it slip that her husband had a pick of two jobs in the Obama administration. Jill Biden said President-elect Barack Obama gave Biden the choice of being secretary of state or vice president. Her comment came when the Bidens made a surprise appearance on Oprah Winfrey's show, recorded at the Kennedy Center. The vice president-elect tried to hush his wife as soon as the words came out of her mouth, with a loud "shhh!" Jill Biden said the job of... Read Full Story

Vice President Joe Biden says labor built the middle class, and that he and Sen. Arlen Specter will continue fighting for workers. Biden spoke at a rally before Pittsburgh's annual Labor Day parade Monday. He assured the crowd of about 300 that he and Specter, D-Pa., wouldn't let workers down. Later Monday, Biden is to visit... Read Full Story
The news of Obama's Veep pick is finally over as he announced to the world several hours ago that the fortunate individual is Seasoned Delaware U.S. Senator Joe Biden (D). Thank Goodness! Now I know the media recently reported on Biden's Son ( a Captain in the U.S. Army ), receiving orders to be deployed to Iraq , but that's another story. For the moment let's just focus on why Obama chose Biden over the other possible, just as qualified candidates. The previous list of other suspected Obama... Read Full Story
(Getty Images) Does Joe Biden seriously not think at all about what comes out of his mouth, or did he just wake up this morning with a hankering for panic? The Vice President has been forced to backtrack off statements he made during a Today show interview with Matt Lauer where the two were discussing the big scary apocalyptic topic of the day -- swine flu. When asked by Lauer whether he would freak out over a family member flying to Mexico and back, Biden did his best to scare people away... Read Full Story
The first and only Vice Presidential Debate between Democrat Joe Biden and Republican Sarah Palin , unsurprisingly garnered a lot more “hype”, if you will, than the first Presidential Debate one week prior. I’ll be taking on the task of getting behind that hype.
Foreign Policy? Let me just find my Alaska state map...
It only stands to reason that America at large would be interested in this Debate , as it pitted the bat-shit crazy and mind-numbingly inexperienced Sarah Palin... Read Full Story
This excellent review of Senator Biden's record and positions on key issues is provided by DiscoverTheNetworks.org . Lately I've been thinking that this election of 2008 will eventually come down to the character of the different candidates; of John McCain and Sarah Palin; of Barack Obama and Joe Biden. Both the Democrats and the Republicans blame each other for the woes that have come upon America: the financial collapse of banking, the housing market, the stock market; the high cost of the wars America is involved in; the energy problem and more. It's kind of lame - all of this blame-shifting - when in... Read Full Story
John Batchelor wrote last night on his blog:
The Second Amendment
Joe Biden was working coal country Southwest Virginia yesterday , — United Mine Workers, District 17, 13th Annual Fish Fry at the Russel County Fairgrounds, Castlewood, Virginia — where there are many votes for the unions but not so many for a guy from Chicago (sort of) who says folk are “bitter” and “cling to guns and religion.”
Joe Biden overcompensated by making a fool of himself and also managing to mock the top of... Read Full Story
