Oscar looked to be in decent shape. No blow up in weight. He looked young and healthy. Lopez started with some jokes about Oscar making the fights female friendly. Oscar told an anecdote about him fighting in Texas and the crazy women. It was a sloppy segue. Obviously a fed set up from Lopez. The story said that Oscar took a path around an arena he wasn't supposed to and bras were flying everywhere. The punch line involved was that one of the bras was the size of a parachute. Lopez complemented Oscar for remaining humble "and not throwing money at the camera." A ... Read Full Story
Los Angeles Freddie Roach has earned a reputation as boxingÕs finest trainer. More than this, in recent years Roach has become a master of psychological gamesmanship. Roach has developed a knack for making just the right remark to get into the heads of his opposition before a fight, for playing those mind games — Òpushing the barriers, planting seeds,Ó as ringside color commentator John Lennon put it. ÒFreddie is an expert psychologist,Ó promoter Bob Arum said. ÒHe fires these shots hoping to get under the guyÕs skin, and he has an advantage because he was a competitive fighter himself. He had a long series ... Read Full Story

Jessica Alba was in Malibu along with her husband Cash Warren. She’s such a family-oriented woman. Mario Lopez was the life of the party at a Las Vegas Actor’s Expo thrown at Rave Motion Pictures in Town Square. George Lopez and rocker Slash attended a LA Lakers game together at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. I hope they were rooting for the Houston Rockets because they beat the Los Angeles Lakers 101 to 91. Probably, George didn’t care much though. He’s got better things on his mind like “Lopez Tonight”, his late night talk show that debuted last week to a lot of ... Read Full Story

Boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. is being sued by a bank in Las Vegas for more than $167,000 unpaid on a loan for a half-million-dollar luxury car. A lawyer for JP Morgan Chase Bank said in a lawsuit filed last week in Clark County District Court that the former five-division boxing champion bought the Mercedes Maybach 57S in February 2007 and stopped making monthly payments a year later. The lawsuit says the bank repossessed the vehicle in January, sold it for $196,000, and is seeking to recoup the difference. A lawyer for Mayweather and other representatives did not immediately respond Monday to messages seeking comment. ... Read Full Story

A Las Vegas judge has issued an arrest warrant for Roger Mayweather after the boxing trainer failed to show up for a court appearance on battery and coercion charges. Mayweather, who coached his nephew Floyd Mayweather Jr. to victory in a September fight, did not appear or have a lawyer present at a felony arraignment in Las Vegas Justice Court on Friday. The 48-year-old Mayweather is accused of attacking a female boxer he once trained. She told police that Mayweather attacked her in August at an apartment Mayweather owns and was renting out. A police report says the victim's roommate told authorities that Mayweather ... Read Full Story

What does Manny Pacquiao have that Floyd Mayweather, Jr. does not?  The answer to that is a simple one-word response: respect. Far too few boxing fans hold Pretty Boy Floyd in any respectful light, whatsoever. He has been called Moneybags, Motormouth, and worse, but the point remains that he is undefeated, without spot or blemish on his record. Pure (may I say?) as the driven snow. How did Manny get such world-wide praise and adoration? Some...
