It’s what fans were holding their breath about when they heard the original rumblings. Early reports indicated that director Zach Snyder had, in fact, changed the ending of his film adaptation of Watchmen from the ending in the original graphic novel. WATCHMEN director Zack Snyder has confirmed rumours that the ending of the film is not the same as the graphic novel. There was a meltdown among hardcore fanboys when a test screening of the film in Portland, USA, depicted an ending that does not include the giant squid-like creature of the comic book.
