Rescue inhalers containing fast-acting medications such as albuterol that are used to ease symptoms of an asthma attack will no longer use chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) as a propellant. A reader writes: The albuterol inhaler that my insurance co. charges $35 for is manufactured in Ireland. I ordered my albuterol from a Canadian company (@$6 per inhaler) that was mailed from Assam having been manufactured in Goa. The Indian retail price that was stamped on the inhaler said "not to exceed Rs. 90, including tax." This equals $2.47, and everybody is a winner. Profits for business and fair price for me.
