Alina Kabaeva, Former Gymnast, Rumored to Give Birth to Vladimir Putin's Love Child
Alina Kabaeva is a former Soviet gymnast turned Russian bureaucrat, but that's not the reason the Internet is suddenly facinated with the flexible brunette. She is rumored to have given birth to Vladimir Putin's love child.

Kabaeva recently gave birth to a young boy, Dmitry. She has been named as Putin's girlfriend since at least 2006, and was elected to the Duma, the Russian parliament, in 2007.
Reporting on the matter can be difficult in Russia. Last year, a Russian newspaper, the Moskovsky Korrespondent, reported the rumor that Putin was divorcing his wife, Ludmila, in order to marry Alina. The Moskovsky Korrespondent was quickly shut down by the owner, a move some saw as politically motivated.
According to ReadRussia.com, a popular site that has been following the case of whether Putin has a love child, the silence within Russia is in itself an indicator that something is amiss. "The most puzzling part of this story is that at press time, not a single major Russian media [outlet] has reported that Kabaeva had a son."
