Perhaps Jon Gosselin enjoys appearing in the tabloids more than he lets on. The father of eight just jetsetted to St. Tropez last week with rumored girlfriend Hailey Glassman, where he shmoozed with Ed Hardy designer Christian Audigier and fueled gossip that the two are planning to launch a children's clothing line (a claim which was later denied). Still, it explains Jon's fashion choices:


Anyway, this weekend he dined out with a different lady: Star magazine reporter Kate Major. That's right, Star. The unlikely couple hit up NYC's Accademia di Vino for dinner, and a source told the New York Daily News,
Kate has a tendency to blur the lines between ‘work’ and ‘friendship.' This isn’t the first time she’s gotten close to someone she’s reporting on. Jon & Kate part two (via NYDN).
Onlookers around the Saturday night dinner outing claimed the event didn't seem to be a date. Said one eyewitness: "They looked very friendly. When they were leaving the restaurant, the paparazzi wanted to take photos of Jon alone — they didn’t know who she was, but she got into the shot anyway. Jon and Kate were there in a group of six people, but they came and left together, and sat beside one another all night."

Another witness offered more info to Us Weekly, claiming Kate "was flirting shamelessly with Jon."

Star magazine cozying up to sources, hm?
