Marilyn Monroe and John F. Kennedy. Did it happen? Did it not? I don't know. More qualified people have taken on that question, and yet there is still no definitive answer. But the consensus is that they probably did.

Rumors of JFK's womanizing are part of the mystique of one of our most fondly-remembered presidents. I'm not sure why, but almost everyone seems inclined to forgive Kennedy's supposed dalliances whether they actually happened or not. Maybe it's just because he had such good taste.
