Elinor Burkett Pulls a Kanye West at 2010 Oscars
Before the makers of Music by Prudence, director Roger Ross Williams and producer Elinor Burkett, arrived at the Academy Awards tonight, they probably should have worked out who was going to say what if they had to give an acceptance speech.
Elinor Burkett: the white female Kanye West?
As it was, many are already saying that Elinor Burkett "pulled a Kanye West," by interrupting Williams in the middle of his speech. Twitter reactions were swift and against Burkett by a long shot.Wrote icybrian: "Okay, that was incredibly unclassy the way Elinor Burkett interrupted Roger Ross Williams. He was so excited, & she was just a bitch."
Wrote the New York Time's David Carr: "who is this maniac that walked on the short docs speech? awkward much? security, pls."
Said Darci37, "Wow, Elinor Burkett of Music by Prudence just pulled a Kanye on her co-filmmaker Roger Ross Williams! Ouch Lady!"
