Great Guitar Tips

Any guitar is the right one when you do select one. It is interesting for no one to invest into something that will end up in the closet a few weeks later. The first thing you should be cautious and double check is that your guitar is fine tuned. It is very easy to use electric tuners. Even for beginners. You can find such tuners for under 20$ at your local guitar store. Lots of people are afraid to turn up the peg and to tune each string. Do not be afraid. The strings are not going to snap. You won't neither be whipped by them in the face. To tune a guitar is a very easy process. Purchasing an extra pair of strings isn't a bad idea, cheap as well.

Before even thinking about being some kind of rock star pop, or even blue guru, take your time and learn to pick and strum a guitar. Here are some beginner guitar lessons. Our basic instincts are pushing us to go as fast as our fingers are leading us: nothing could be more wrong than that. Take your time to memorize and understand the sounds, let it sing to you. A few suggestions I have is finger placement. The moment you do play a cord, or even a single note, press firmly with your finger(s) to get the real quality of your guitar. My second suggestion would be to play as close as you can to the fret. This way, you are going to avoid the rattle sound most beginners are experiencing.

There are tons of videos and articles online. So you can easily find the sound you really want to play. Learn simple cords in order to keep interest in guitar. Take a few that you like and combine them to make your own sound. Here is another simple way to produce a different sound: take a cord, try to strum it up twice then down once. Or just up and down. It is a bit more difficult to pick a cord but it is well worth the practice. With some practices, you will be able to produce your own very song by speeding up or slowing down, mixing and matching and combining.

Each of us does have at least one song we do like that is easy to play.  I recommend you do start by learning to play a simple song you do like.  For some of us, to learn guitar can be quite frustrating. All is needed is a few simple and quick wins.  There is no need to be some master player in order to learn how to play a great melody.
