New Pieces Of Degenerated Art Found On Excavation Site
A visitor looks at the brass sculpture 'Dancer' around 1930 by Marg Moll at the exhibition of 11 sculptures recently unearthed during archeological excavations in Berlin at the Neues Museum on November 8, 2010 in Berlin, Germany. The sculptures were part of the ?Entartete Kunst,? or ?Degenerate Art,? travelling exhibition by the Nazis in 1937 meant to showcase artworks the Nazis derided and deemed un-German. The exhibition includes sculptures by Edwin Scharff, Otto Baum, Marg Moll, Gustav Heinrich Wolff, Naum Slutzky and Karl Knappe as well as ceramic pieces by Otto Freundlich and Emy Roeder.
